TURSAC
Classified historical monument, it is in Perigord the most strange, the most secret, the most extraordinary and the most mysterious castle too.
Emerging from the rock, this belvedere overlooks the river. It is a “castle-cliff” fully furnished and in a beautiful state of conservation. It is in France the only monument of this type totally intact.
Infinitely larger than one might suspect from the outside, the facade (built in 1386) hides a large Hall of Honor, a Grand Salon, a Room of Arms, a dungeon, rooms, a chapel, oubliettes … and also vast rock shelters that prehistoric men occupied 20,000 years ago.
Of an exceptional historical interest this haunting place offers you a rare visit.
