museum la rue du temps qui passe

Allas les mines

Open from April to the end of October.

Travel back in time and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the 19th and 20th centuries, with more than 35 period shops steeped in history. An unusual museum born from the passion of a father and his daughter, where objects and cars come back to life in these streets where time seems to stand still… full of charm.

Café 1900 (license IV) accessible without a visit, on the banks of the Dordogne.

A museum made from an incredible personal collection.

All the objects you will see while wandering through this more than 1,000 m² hangar come from Michel Boom’s incredibly rich and inexhaustible personal collection. Michel is a sentimental soul. When he finds something, he doesn’t just let it go! At the age of six, he picked up a pendant watch (which women used to wear around their necks, the equivalent of men’s pocket watches) from the ground, covered in dust, during the village festival. He studied it, cleaned it with his thumb, and put it in his pocket. Today, it hangs as a trophy on a wall of the museum.
