CASTELNAUD LA CHAPELLE
Built in 1489 by François de Caumont, Lord of Castelnaud, on the initiative of his wife, Claude de Cardaillac, the Château des Milandes enjoys a marvelous panorama over the Dordogne valley. Slate roofs, woodwork, large mullioned windows and beautifully preserved stained glass windows, constitute the architectural and aesthetic charm of the castle.
Josephine Baker owned the castle from 1947 to 1968; you will discover an exhibition entirely devoted to his life (statues from the Grévin Museum, furniture, unpublished documents, mythical objects, etc.).
