Built in 1489 by François de Caumont, lord of Castelnaud, on the initiative of his wife, Claude de Cardaillac, the castle Milandes enjoys a wonderful view over the Dordogne valley. Roofs of lauzes, wood paneling, large mullioned windows and beautifully preserved stained glass, constitute the architectural and aesthetic charm of the castle.
Josephine Baker owned the castle from 1947 to 1968; you will discover an exhibition entirely devoted to his life (Grévin Museum statues, furniture, unpublished documents, mythical objects …).
